I    wish to welcome you once again to the Entebbe Municipal Council website.

I thank God for His Mercy that has enabled a peaceful transition of power that has seen me become the Mayor of this Council for the next 5 years. I also thank the Intercessors who were always there when we needed them.

I would also like to honorably thank all the people of Entebbe Municipality for the undivided support revealed during the immediate past elections. I would particularly like to thank the Democratic Party for having entrusted my team and I to ‘Bear the Flag’. And the support given thereafter that so us emerge winners. I believe we did not disappoint you. 

I would also like to thank all contestants at different levels of government in the Municipality for having offered themselves for election to various offices in the view of serving the Entebbe Community. You made the contest meaningful.

I thank the Electoral Commission for upholding the People’s Verdict and the security forces for upholding their Constitutional during the obligation period.

With due respect, allow me ladies and gentlemen to thank the immediate former Council led by Mr. Stephen Kabuye for the achievements of the Municipality during the time they held office. I also extend similar gratitude to the Town Clerk and his team.

 As we begin this term in office, we are very well aware of the responsibilities that lie ahead of us. Entebbe Municipality has a unique status being the official residence of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Uganda and the International Gateway into Uganda, not mention the Historical importance of Entebbe.

Against this background therefore, the approach to my leadership shall be; clear headed, mature and balanced to cater for the national interests of all Ugandans. I pledge to implement Government programs and to full fill the Vision of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), Government.

To our Beloved Tax Payers we appreciate you past contributions. We pledge to always be in touch with you to improve public facilities and infrastructures to enhance development in our Municipality.

Our Vision is to make Entebbe a dream Tourist city in Uganda.

Ladies and Gentlemen, allow me highlight strategies to improve service delivery:

      We shall have to plug all the Revenue Leakages,

      Sensitize the Residents on Revenue Sources and encourage residents to fulfill their constitutional obligations especially property Tax, ,  markets, Landing sites, taxi parks,

      Improving the performance of the Finance Department which is the Pivot of this Institution.

      Give sufficient attention to Primary Education especially in aspects of Inspection, Transfer of Teachers and supporting co-curricular Activities. Not forgetting secondary education and vocational trainings.

      Review the Municipal Council Scholarship fund

      Strengthen Urban Planning function,

      Upholding Civil works standards, Council will have to Contract a Civil works consultant to help us improve the Quality of Civil Works,

      Improving road infrastructure and amenities like street-lighting, drainage,

      Management of public and private land and acquiring land for public facilities,  

      Proper disposal of properties

      Upholding local and international cooperation programs (twinning)

 These strategies will be subjected to council organs for aligning to other council programs and stakeholder input will be a key component of the Municipal planning cycle.

As I conclude, I wish to inform all Residents that every other Wednesday of the week from 8:00 am to 1:00pm, I will be available to meet residents at my Office .As you seek the Mayor’s Audience please  be aware of the Local Government system of addressing Community Issues via the local council (LC) system. I pledge to be readily available at all times for your advice and guidance as we build a better Entebbe.

I pray that the good Lord who has elevated me to be your Mayor, will Journey, my councilors, the Council  Staff  and with me for the Greater Glory of His Name in the Lives of the people of Entebbe for the next five years.
